The Neptune Inn is situated in the picturesque village of Easington which makes us the ideal place to stay whilst exploring the beautiful Humber Estuary and Holderness Coast.
Please take a look below at just some of interesting places which you can visit during your stay with us.
Spurn Point - this is a unique coastal reserve with a long sandy spit stretching three and half miles into the Humber Estuary from the Holderness Coast. Habitats found here include chalk grassland, mature grey sand dunes with sandy beaches on the seaward side and mud flats on the estuary side. This is a mecca for birdwatchers, with many rarities being seen as well as many thousands of migrants and winter visitors.
Humber Lifeboat - because of Spurns position on the edge of the at times the very rough North Sea, the Humber Lifeboat called " Pride of the Humber" has always been a very busy boat carrying out some of the most daring rescues in the history of the RNLI. Due to this it has produced two of the most skilful and famous coxswains in the history of the RNLI.
The Humber Bridge - is a masterpiece of civil engineering and was developed out of a design used initially for the Severn bridge near Bristol and was designed to cross the last major unbridged estuary in Britain.
